I'm constantly amazed by the lack of really pretty handmade wedding card ideas on sites like Pinterest. Sure, there are a lot of ideas, but they're usually fiddly, vintage styles or extremely simple cards that seem to lack 'pizzazz'.
I've been looking for wedding card ideas that use dies and stamps, but I find that there are very few that I class as elegant - simple enough to make but something that stands out in the crowd. I still struggle with these elegant wedding cards (as I like to call them).
When I was searching through digital stamps recently, I found this lovely one from Conie Fong that I could use for a wedding or engagement. As soon as I saw her, inspiration hit me! I wanted to have her standing in front of a wedding arch or trellis.
I found a colouring page image on a Google search and free-hand copied much of the design, adding my own tweaks to pieces here and there.
Then, I coloured the entire thing with Copics. They are;

Later on, I added some ribbon from my stash and made it into a card!
